CHIVALRY & SORCERY NOW IN 4TH EDITION. Brittainia Games has just updated C&S, and having been a C&S fan since the original Red book ( we played a 5 year campaign in Edinburgh beginning in the late 70`s and have continued in the same game world to date) this edition is definitely the best treatment yet!
After the 1995 `lets get it all under one cover` 3rd rdition that brought the game back out after years of being out-of -print, 4th aims back to the roots. The new skills system and streamlined mechanics overlay the original richly detailed layout of 2nd edition and bring the game back to life.
Much very familiar ( and comfortable) for a old fan of the game, but lots of new ideas, and supplementary material now included in the core system which is much smoother than the old days. The Magic system, although very, very detailed i.e. heavy on rules, is still remarkable, only to be rivalled by Ars Magica!
